Tuesday Studio - How to Make Your Own Stickers
Here is a simple tuturial to make your very own handmade stickers.
I found this on homemadesimple.com and it is super easy.
You can basically "turn any material, from magazine pages and maps to giftwrap and photos into your own custom lick-and-stick stickers with our simple recipe." How cool is that? Enjoy:)
MATERIALS
1 gelatine packet, sugar-free or unflavoured (small envelope, about 12 ml or 2 1/2 tsp)
Bowl
45 mL (3 tbsp) boiling water
Assorted paper (letters from magazines, pictures from catalogues, maps, scraps, giftwrap, flyers...)
Scissors
Paintbrush
Spoon
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut pieces of paper into shapes (Tip: Print your own photos on your home printer, then paint the front of the photo with a decoupage sealer).
- Empty the packet of gelatine into a bowl. Add 45 mL (3 tbsp) boiling water and stir until dissolved. If crafting with kids, allow mixture to cool for a few minutes before painting.
- Paint the dissolved gelatine onto backs of prepared papers with a small paintbrush, then let the paper dry.
- When the stickers are dry, just lick the gelatine-coated side and stick to your desired surface.
Have a creative day,
Patricia
