Be Part of the Most Amazing Story Being Written

The day that followed the listing my little Child's Play bracelet, I came accross an amazing story about strength, courage and love. A story still into making written by Melissa Lewis, a story I could somehow be part of. Here's how it goes...

Satori is a fantastic 10 year old girl who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (type II). "She has a super sense of humor, gets straight A's even though she misses an average of 40 days of school a year! She's a great sister & daughter & a fantastic person all around."

But she is physically weak and her body doesn't hold its self up well (she uses a power wheelchair): she has developed severe scoliosis. The curve of her spineis now starting to crush her lung, so on March 31 she will have full spinal fusion, meaning the surgeons will insert 2 titanium rods on either side of her spine.

The family is traveling to California to have this done, with an estimated stay in the hospital of 7-10 days. They are not asking for money, only for some fun messages and exiting postmarks sent from all over to Satori. Melissa writes: "I think that the messages (and pictures) will be fun for Satori. I also plan to take an atlas and have her mark off states and countries (sneaking in a little geography)."

You guessed it, Melissa is Satori's mom and she is writting the most amazing beautiful story for her daughter. Makes me smile and cry at the same time. Do you know how inspiring you are Melissa?

Wouldn't you love to be part of this story? Be part of it and make a huge difference simply by sending all your love and an exciting postcard to Satori:) I speak French, so maybe I'll sneak in a few French words! Maybe you speak German or Italian, do the same:) You're a painter, draw something nice and fun! Let's ease the pain and all join to show our support and make this as easy as possible for Satori and her family. We all love happy endings:)
