Haiti: Fate and Resilience

I feel all kind of emotions this morning. Sadness. Relief. Pain. Happiness. Silence and beauty as I look out the window.

I can’t explain exactly how or why the images of Haiti I saw on the news last night made such an impression on me. I guess I felt all the horror and helplessness of the situation. I felt so desperately meaningless.

Dany Laferrière said: "If Haitians have trouble organizing day to day life, in disastrousness, they are remarkable."

It is warm and cozy in my house this morning. I am grateful and reflecting on the true sense of resilience and purpose.

Take care,
